The Recon Relay works in tandem with the Recon underground fault indicator and supports connecting up to nine indicators. The cable-mounted Recon connects to the cabinet-mounted Recon Relay through a fiber optic cable, allowing the Recon Relay to communicate the indicator’s status using a low-power cellular module.

The Recon Relay sends notifications whenever a Recon device indicates a fault, signals a low battery condition, or when the indicator clears following system re-energization or a timed or manual reset. Users can access the SGS wireless portal to view device status, events, and configure notifications.
